"Girls" star Allison Williams and boyfriend Ricky Van Veen, who recently returned from a trip to Colombia, just announced they are engaged!

We're not surprised that Williams, who is daughter of NBC news anchor Brian Williams, is going to take the plunge at a relatively young age with her boyfriend of years after meeting the College Humor co-funder through mutual friends.

Earlier this month, the 25-year-old actress told Glamour that she would actually "walk away from her career to have children with [Ricky]."

"I’d love [to be a mom] – and not have to bring my kids into my trailer … Or a balance of both,” Allison said at the time. "But you’ve [got to] call it on the fly to a certain extent" she said in the March issue of the magazine.

Last month, Ricky's friend told Life & Style magazine that he was still figuring out how he was going to pop the question, saying;

“[Ricky] is still figuring out how he will do it, but it is coming in the next two months.” “He still hasn’t asked her dad and he plans to be really formal and do that first.”
