CHIEF KEEF TOUR CANCELLED: LABEL MAY DROP HIM & 50 CENT COMMENTS
December 30, 2012UnknownThere has been a lot of controversy around Interscope's freshly signed Chicago rapper, Chief Keef, from his failure to appear at an official video shoot with mega artists 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa to being suspected of the murder of his rival Lil Jojo.
50 Cent, who is actually a Chief Keef fan, has even discussed Keef's lack of professionalism on Power 106 by saying,
"I called him, I talked to them on the telephone, his uncle, little homies around him, two or three times that day, saying, look, you gotta come...That environment is so hot to him, like he feel that he so hot in his circle, that they felt like he could actually do that, but the video still ain't shot. They sayin' they gunna put the song out as the CD comes out. The song is supposed to build the momentum to sell the CD. I'm like how you gunna sell records like that?"50 Cent wasn't wrong, Interscope Records has now canceled Chief Keef's Tour due to low ticket sales and after only a menial 50,000 copies of his new album, Finally Rich, selling in its first week-- it is possible that they might cancel his deal as well.

good!
ReplyDeleteSheer stupidity, he needs to leave the Chi, he needs mentorship, or he will not make it to 21.....we at a 500 person death toll, do or die.
ReplyDeleteI agree. They pull him straight off the streets and give him a record deal? Really??? He is an example of a lot of you guys in the Chi who need guidance. Yes you have a story to tell, yes you've experienced things that no young person should, but you have to be groomed and a lil bit put together than that. Intercope took him as is and now they have a full fledged flop on their hands. Honestly was he disciplined enough to go on tour? He can't even show up for a video shoot...
