R&B soul singer D'Angelo has now cancelled five shows in Chicago, Minneapolis, San Diego, New York and Maryland. Live Nation, the promoter of the shows, said an unspecified medical emergency was responsible for the cancellations.
A House of Blues executive was quoted saying, "It's serious, but he'll be OK."
I for one didn't even realize D'Angelo was still performing, let alone touring. It's also rumored that he's been working on a new album, his first since 2000.
Still no word on whether or not he'll make his next scheduled performance at Outside Lands Festival, in San Francisco on Friday.
