Johnny Gill Slaps Hotel With $1 Million Lawsuit After He Was Attacked By Racist White Man!
August 28, 2013GWL StaffSinger Johnny Gill has reportedly slapped a Beverly Hill hotel with a $1 million lawsuit following an incident that happened in 2011...where he was attacked by a drunk racist white man.
According to the suit, filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, "the New Edition member claims the assault occurred on August 23, 2011. Gil states that while he was conversing with friends in the dining/cocktail area of the Four Seasons hotel at about 11 p.m.-- an unnamed Caucasian assailant approached him and allegedly began hurling racially inflammatory remarks.
He went on to say that not only did the man spewed racial insults, but the assailant also pummeled him so severely that he could not perform. The 47-year-old singer claims when he tried to fend off the altercation, the man allegedly pushed him with such a brute force that he landed against a heated lamp that resulted in only extensive pain and bodily injury.
According to NewsOne, Gill is reportedly suing his assailant for medical expenses and loss of earnings because he claims he was unable to perform his duties as an entertainer. He says, not once did any of the hotel staff intervene during the altercation. Gill also alleges that the hotel’s cocktail lounge bartending staff also did not prevent the assailant from becoming inebriated, which allegedly led to his attack.
lawsuit also states that Gill is seeking $1 million in damages for the alleged wrongs inflicted upon him by the assailant and for the hotel being negligent in protecting him from the patron.
