Chris Brown Taken Into Federal Custody As Washington DC Assault Trial Draws Near

April 03, 2014GWL Staff

It's been 5 months since the Washington DC assault outside the W Hotel involving Chris Brown, Christopher Hollosy (Breezy's bodyguard) and (victim) a Maryland-native named Parker Isaac Adams, who claims the singer hurled homophobic slurs at him before assaulting him with the help of 35-year-old Hollosy.

Despite trying to settle outside of court last month, Adams reportedly turned down the singer's offer to pay for damages. Now, new reports surfaced today claiming Breezy has been taken into federal custody by US Marshals -- no longer calling L.A. his home -- in an anticipated move to DC as his assault trial draws near.

RumorFix reports, Brown has an upcoming hearing next Monday that he's required to attend stemming from the October fight.
If the case goes to trial, Chris will remain in custody in Washington D.C. until the April 17 trial begins. He had previously been housed at the Los Angeles County jail after getting kicked out of his anger management rehab, a violation of his probation in the 2009 attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna. His next hearing in that case is on April 23.
