For whatsoever reason in the world, Tiger Woods is now trending on social media for a wrong reason. This is an epitome of sadness at its peak for the 41-year-old tennis champ.

Woods have had series of seasons of bad outings in recent times and this time the winner of 14 major championships who broke records with stunning regularity has been arrested close to his home in Jupiter Island at 3 a.m., on Monday.

But hours after his release from a jail near his Florida home, Woods issued a statement saying “alcohol was not involved.”

In the statement, released through his publicist, Woods blamed his arrest on prescription drugs.

“What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications,” Woods said in the statement. “I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.” , but Mark Steinberg, Woods’s frequent agent, would not say whether the mix of medications Woods cited was related to his back problems.

Although his arrest was based on suspicion of DUI and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail that morning, according to police records. In his statement in the early hours of that same day, woods said; “I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions,” but “I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved.

“I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more from myself too. I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.”

The arrest continues a long period in Woods’s career in which the news he makes comes off the golf course. The episode of woods downturns is one of the most epic falls from grace in sporting history.

Also, Woods was release from police custody around 10:50 a.m, later that day. There has been no details as to where he was going or coming from, nor the level of substances in his system.

But according to ESPN:

Woods told police he was taking several prescriptions, including two painkillers. Police said Woods was "cooperative as much as possible" and that he agreed to take a breath test and a urine test. He blew a 0.00 in the breath test.

Just days after Aaron Hernandez hung himself inside his prison cell, the former pro-baller's alleged boyfriend Kyle Kennedy is demanding authorities to release Aaron's suicide note that was left for him.

According to the DailyMail, the night before Aaron hung himself he had requested prison authorities to allow his male lover to share his cell with him but his request was denied. The former New England Patriot, who was serving a life sentence without possibility of parole, was alone in a cell built for two and wanted company and he specifically chose 22-year-old armed robber Kyle — the man he left one of his three suicide notes.

Massachusetts Corrections Department spokesman Christopher Fallon did not immediately return a call for comment.

Kennedy was jailed in 2015 for robbing a Cumberland Farms store in Northbridge, Massachusetts at knifepoint. He bargained down an original charge of armed and masked robbery to the lesser charge of armed robbery and received a sentence of 3-5 years. 

Insiders told the site, Kennedy became quite friendly with Hernandez during his time in the maximum security prison that when the 27-year-old football star decided to hang himself he was one of just three people to whom he wrote suicide notes. The other two were for his fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez and their 4-year-old daughter Avielle. Army said Kennedy has not been shown the suicide note.


The site also reports that 'Neither [Kennedy's attorney], nor [his] client, have seen the letter.'

'We will be requesting that the letter be turned over to my client as soon as possible.' On Monday, the day of Hernandez's funeral in his hometown of Bristol, Connecticut, a judge ruled that the notes be handed over to Jenkins-Hernandez. Kennedy is now off the suicide watch that he was placed on after his lover's death, Army said. 'My client is obviously saddened by the loss of his friend, Aaron Hernandez,' he said. 

It was reported on Monday that Hernandez's body tested positive for the synthetic marijuana, K2.

This week, it was reported that ex-baller Aaron Hernandez had committed suicide inside his prison cell just days after he was acquitted in the 2012 fatal shootings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in Boston.

According to reports, prison authorities found the 27-year-old unresponsive in his cell and claimed he used a bed-sheet hanging from his window to hang himself. Hernandez's attorney, Jose Baez, believe his client was murdered by an inmate or prison official as he showed no signs of being suicidal when he last seen and spoke to him last Friday.

Baez said he believes this could be a murder, by either inmates or the folks who run the prison. And Baez isn’t the only one who doesn’t believe that Hernandez would commit suicide. Hernandez’s former agent, Brian Murphy, told ESPN on Wednesday morning that there was “absolutely no chance” Hernandez took his own life. “Chico was not a saint, but my family and I loved him, and he would never take his own life,” Murphy said. Baez told TMZ Sports that Hernandez’s family is devastated and believes he was in a good space and wouldn’t have taken his own life.

Daily Mail also reports that “Hernandez had been planning his suicide for weeks.” An insider told the website Hernandez had given “most of his personal belongings to fellow inmates and covered the floor of his cell in soap,” so he wouldn't be able to stop himself even if he tried to adopt his decision..
Hernandez leaves behind a daughter whom he fathered with his fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez. In addition, his lawyer, said Hernandez was optimistic that he would have his previous murder conviction in the 2013 fatal shooting of Odin Lloyd, for which he was serving a prison term of life without the possibility of parole, overturned.

Former NFL star Darren Sharper has felt the full wrath of the law as he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for reportedly drugging and raping two women in Los Angeles and assaulting an alleged nine women across the country.

On Tuesday, Sharper, who has been on trial for raping two women inside his hotel room, was sentenced by a L.A county judge to 20 years in prison on rape charges brought against by the two victim. The young NFLer was also accused of attacking more than a dozen women across the country.

Sharper was sentenced as part of a plea deal he reached last year — a “global resolution” that his attorneys said helped resolve sexual assault cases filed against him in multiple states.

One of the victims had this to say:

“I can only imagine myself lying there like a vegetable while he took advantage of my body without my permission,” she said in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom. 

“I have lost every bit of self confidence I’ve ever had and am always in fear while alone," she added. "It doesn’t matter whether it’s day or night, I can see a guy and automatically in my head think, ‘What if this guy tries to rape me?’”

Superior Court Judge Michael E. Pastor noted the statements that the woman and another victim gave as he sentenced Sharper. 

“I dare say that I cannot speak more eloquently or passionately about the horrible misconduct of Mr. Sharper and the unfathomable effect he has had on the two alleged victims,” the judge said. “I think their individual statements speak volumes as to this disgraceful abuse of trust and the behavior of Mr. Sharper.” 

After Los Angeles authorities arrested Sharper on suspicion of sexual assault in January 2014, women in other cities came forward alleging similar attacks. The former New Orleans Saints safety has been convicted of drugging and raping nine women in Los Angeles, Nevada, Arizona and Louisiana.;

Keshia Knight Pulliam is responding to her soon-to-be ex-husband Ed Hartwell's divorce filing and paternity test demand just two days after he filed for a divorce in a Fulton-County court house.

Pulliam, who is just a few weeks pregnant, says she is mentally prepared to take a paternity test to prove that Ed is the father of her baby, and source close to the ex-NFL linebacker adds, "[he] has no proof of her cheating."

Ed reportedly had concerns about the "timing of the pregnancy and Pulliam's announcement on Instagram," which forced him to separate from his wife of seven months.

Not surprisingly, the 37-year-old "Cosby Show" actress is angry that Hartwell filed divorce papers, sources told TMZ. She's also 100 percent secure in the fact that she was faithful to Hartwell and has indicated she's willing to work things out but there's not signs of reconciliation, especially given her husband's actions.

NBA superstar LeBron James has decided to rejoin his hometown team, The Cleveland Cavaliers, after leaving the team four years ago for the Miami Heat in pursuit to win a NBA championship ring.

For the past few weeks, James had been trying to find a way to stay, to recruit players to join him in Cleveland, but so far, Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, Trevor Ariza and Dwyane Wade all said no. Sure, they wanted to play with him. Who wouldn't? But not in Cleveland.

James, who has earned himself TWO championship rings since making the big switch in 2009, confirmed the news in a personal essay published in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated.

Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball, I was a kid from Northeast Ohio. It’s where I walked. It’s where I ran. It’s where I cried. It’s where I bled. It holds a special place in my heart. People there have seen me grow up. I sometimes feel like I’m their son. Their passion can be overwhelming. But it drives me. I want to give them hope when I can. I want to inspire them when I can. My relationship with Northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball. I didn’t realize that four years ago. I do now.

Remember when I was sitting up there at the Boys & Girls Club in 2010? I was thinking, This is really tough. I could feel it. I was leaving something I had spent a long time creating. If I had to do it all over again, I’d obviously do things differently, but I’d still have left. Miami, for me, has been almost like college for other kids. Last week, NY Knicks player Carmelo Anthony announced his return to the Knicks and have agreed to take a massive pay cut to lure free agents to the team, despite receiving countless offers from the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers -- all offering lucrative contracts.

After three-months of questions around Anthony's return to the New York Knicks, the 30-year-old NBA player finally made his decision on Thursday to stay in the big apple.

An inside source told the NY DailyNews that, "[Melo] was really torn because it was the biggest decision of his career." The source went on to say, "he's just happy that it's over with and he is looking forward to next season."

The New York-native told reporters that, "in the end, I'm a New York Knick at heart." "We are now happy to know that we have the cornerstone of what we envision as a 'team of excellence,'" Knicks president Phil Jackson said in a statement. "Knicks General manager, Steve Mills and I have assured Carmelo through our conversations, that we share the vision and the determination to build this team."

On Sunday, Jackson added that Anthony had taken less than the maximum $129 million to give the Knicks cap flexibility.

"He did exactly what we kind of asked him to do. Give us a break in the early part of his contract so that when we have some wiggle room next year, which is hopefully big enough wiggle room, we can exploit it, provide a more competitive team for our group," Jackson said after the Knicks' summer league practice in Las Vegas.

Anthony and the Knicks had been in the final stages of negotiations since Saturday. He also announced the deal via his personal website on Sunday afternoon.

"A few years ago I dreamed of coming back to New York City, the place of my birth, and on February 23, 2011 that became a reality," Anthony said in a statement. "This organization has supported me and in return, I want to stay and build here with this city and my team. At this pivotal juncture in my career, I owed it to myself and my family to explore all of the options available to me. Through it all, my heart never wavered."

Anthony will be $23.4 million under contract for 2014-15 NBA season.

"Any opportunity I have to build that up in New York, I’d do it," Anthony said during the interview, referring to his willingness to take less than a max contract. "I told people all the time, always say, if it takes me taking a pay cut, I’ll be the first one on Mr. [James Dolan’s] steps saying: 'Take my money and let’s build something strong over here.'"

As far as the money, it don’t really matter to me. If I go somewhere else, I get paid. If I stay in New York, I get paid. As far as the money goes, it’s not my concern. My concern is to be able to compete on a high level, a championship level, coming in this last stretch of my career. I want to compete at that level.
