Crazy News: Ex-Marine Goes On A SHOOTING RAMPAGE At A N.J. Pathmark Takes His Own Life After Killing Two Co-Workers!

August 31, 2012GWL Staff

Earlier this morning, 23 year Terrence Tyler who's a employee at a Pathmark outlet in Old Bridge N.J, showed up for work at 4 a.m. with an assault rifle and a handgun where he shot & Killed two of his co-workers Cristina Lobrutto, 18, of Old Bridge, N.J., and her friend Bryan Breen, 24, of Laurence Harbor, N.J in an unprovoked attack, before turning the gun on himself. More details below....

According to Middlesex County prosecutor Bruce Kaplan,

"At least three people were killed during shooting. And a law enforcement official gave briefed details on the shooting saying the person believed to be the shooter is among the dead."
NYdaily reports,

"Tyler, punched out from his graveyard shift at the Pathmark store at 3:30 a.m. and returned 30 minutes later with a murderous intent — along with an AK-47 assault rifle and a handgun.

The heavily-armed ex-Marine dressed in a camouflage gear, gunned down the two co-workers in the supermarket which he later killed himself early Friday, officials said."

The disgruntled worker, hired just two weeks ago, fired 16 rifle shots at the skeleton crew as terrified co-workers scrambled for their lives before sunrise, one police officer said.

Defenseless Cristina and her friend Bryan were killed, while a dozen colleagues escaped the carnage unharmed. The store manager reportedly steered most of the survivors to safety through a back door before Tyler committed suicide.

Lobrutto was covering a shift for a friend when the shooting started, with Tyler blasting out two of the front windows during the unprovoked attack.

Tyler worked as a stockboy in the Old Bridge store on Route 9, according to another employee. He and his two victims were all at work when he left at the end of his shift. The gunman lived in an apartment about a block from his former job.

Tyler, who once lived in Brooklyn, spent nearly two years in the Marine Corps — stationed mostly in California. Where the lance corporal, whose military specialty was rifleman, was discharged on Feb. 27, 2010. With a pair of medals during his time in the Marines, and never served overseas, according to USMC records.

Family members at his apartment Friday said they were unaware of any mental problems or other issues he had.

“He was a quiet guy,” said an uncle, who identified himself only as Chris. “He was alright. We just want to offer our condolences to all the victims’ families.”

A fellow resident in the apartment complex said Tyler was a bit of a loner.

“He was very quiet and kept to himself,” said fellow resident Peter Perry, 18. “You never know who your next-door neighbor is.”

One co-worker said Tyler, who started working at the store two weeks ago, gave her the creeps.

“I kept my distance from him,” said Miranda Miranda. “I just didn’t like the way he looked at me.”

Miranda said she narrowly dodged getting in the line of fire by swapping shifts with Lobrutto.

“That could have been me that got shot,” said Miranda. “(Tyler) was new, so you never really know who’s working with you.”

Lobrutto, who turned 18 in May, started working at the Pathmark in June 2011, according to her Facebook page. She just began attending classes at Brookdale Community College. And is said to have like her killer, because she's also from Brooklyn.

However, the New Jersey store was still two hours from opening at the time of the bloody attack. When police arrived, the killer was already dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.

Oh wow! I'm thinking to myself that it's not safe to live anywhere in the world these days. I prefer kicking it in my NYC apartment.

  1. He served less than 2 years stateside but had medals, something doesn't sound right. I truly hope that the military wakes up & starts doing something more for those they discharge with problems. This kid was a ticking time bomb the Corps knew it, whatever his discharge was they released him & more than likely gave him no benefits "VA Hospital" That's truly a shame 3 lives lost & a lot of hand wringing and finger pointing.
