Tameka Raymond Talks Kile Glover's Death, Usher Raymond, Branded A Gold Digger & More!
September 26, 2012GWL StaffThe first of this three part interview, Tameka Raymond sat down with "Entertainment Tonight" host Nancy O'Dell where she addresses the allegations that Usher Raymond cheated on her with one of her bridesmaid before their wedding, being called a gold-digger, and more.
See the highlights below.....
On Usher's candid interview with Oprah Winfrey:
"You know I wouldn't even be speaking if ... you know, my ex hadn't spoke out first. I kind of just felt like it was time to clear a few things up. I have been very guarded and protected."Despite styling celebrity clients such as with Jay-Z, Patti LaBelle, Lauryn Hill and Chris Brown before meeting Usher, She responded to being called a gold digger:
"You know, I think this is the typical stereotype. If a woman who has lesser means -- even if she is successful and hard-working, does her thing in her own right -- marries someone, what they call 'marrying up,' who has more money, they're automatically a gold digger. … The woman is always the gold digger. … It's kind of an insult to the men because it implies they're not love-able."On Usher cheating on her with her bridesmaid & how it affected her deceased son Kile Glover:
"I think I'm still in shock," Tameka says of the accident that took the life of her 11 year-old son Kile, who was struck in the head by a jet ski, and of her bitter [custody battle] with Usher. "I think this will probably be the greatest pain I will ever experience, losing him. But, it gave me strength beyond measure and it made me determined to fight for my other [children]."She then added:
"He admitted to sleeping with one of the two. It was a very disappointing revelation. I had suspected it for some time," she says, adding surprisingly, "I hate to say it, but I somewhat empathize with her. … She fell into somewhat of a trap."Plus sandrose.com, is reporting that Tameka was paid $25,000 (in which Tameka has denied) to do the interview with ET productions, with a source calling out the mother of 5, saying:
"She would with-hold sex from Usher to [control him],"... But the source then added: "She's sneaky and that's why the R&B singer didn't trust her."Ms. Foster also credits Usher for speaking out with Oprah, because if it wasn't for him, she wouldn't have had the strength to do the ET interview.
Part two of the interview airs tonight on Entertainment Tonight.
