President Obama Wants Jay-Z To Be Very Active In Blue Ivy's Life + Jigga & Beyonce's Lunch Date In NYC! (Photos +Video)

During a recent interview with Z107.9's Colby Colb, President Barack Obama talked about his current friendship with power couple Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce. Where the president states that Bey and his wife/first lady Michelle Obama are good friends, plus wanting the rapper to help Bey with Blue Ivy, being re-elected in office for a second term, and more.

On his friendship with Jigga and Bey:

"I’ve gotten to know these guys over the first several years. They’re good people. Beyonce could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls. So they’re good friends. We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends. I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyonce out [with the baby], and not leaving it all with Beyonce and the mother-in-law."

On How He Deals With Negative Press/Attention:

"You gotta [have] thick skin to be President, and running for president. Everyday I meet somebody who says ‘thank you, my child now has health insurance and didn’t have it before,’ or ‘thank you, I was able to study at a community college and now I’ve got a job even though I didn’t have one before,’ or ‘thank you, you helped me to save my home from foreclosure.’ And when you remember every single day who you’re fighting for, and who you’re representing, then you really don’t worry too much about some of the stuff that goes on in Washington."

On how he will get things going if re-elected:

"The truth of the matter is, think about all the things we’ve already gotten done. We saved an auto industry, saved a million jobs throughout Ohio and Michigan, we’ve gotten healthcare reform, we have made sure that we expanded student loan programs and pell grant programs; so a lot of stuff has gotten done, but we have a lot more to do. My hope is if we have a decisive victory in this election, that Republicans who spent a lot of time worrying about trying to beat me, will start focusing on trying to improve the country. This is my last campaign, and the only reason I’m running is to make sure we can finish what we started."
