EXCLUSIVE: Soulja Boy SLAPPED WITH A HEFTY LAWSUIT After Causing A MASSIVE Car Accident In L.A; Victim left for dead
October 15, 2013GWL StaffRapper Soulja Boy was just slapped with a lawsuit that will put a strain on his bank account for a hit-and-run incident that left a bloody motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries stemming from an incident that happened on January 9, 2013, an insider tells GossipWeLove.com exclusively.
The source says, the victim, Gabor Turi, was driving his motorcycle through a Los Angeles intersection on his green light, when a red Bentley suddenly made a left-turn in front of him.... so close was the Bentley to Mr. Turi's bike, that he did not have the time to even apply his brake.
The ensuing collision between the two vehicles was powerful enough to cause Gabor to be ejected from his motorcycle, and to crash land into the street, where he lay bleeding, with life-threatening injuries until the paramedics came and rushed him to Cedars Sinai Hospital.
In the court documents obtained by GossipWeLove, and filed today (Oct.15th) in California's Superior Court, says Gabor was then diagnosed with a fractured right shoulder, knee and foot injuries, along with severe lacerations and other injuries to his male genitalia, which required immediate surgery and hospitalization. Doctors say Gabor might have some temporary or permanent disabilities to deal with for the rest of his life.
The 23-year-old rapper, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, did not stop, but fled the scene. A witness reported that he heard “tires squeal” as he saw the Soulja's Bentley take off north on El Centro Ave.
A Good Samaritan, who witnessed the accident, turned around and chased Soulja Boy's red Bentley Continental that had no license plates on either the front or back. He later told L.A.PD he observed the Bentley driving on the wrong side of the road, blew through a four-way stop, and passed a line of cars as he tried to flee the scene.
Ultimately, the driver of the Bentley suddently came to stop in traffic, at which point the witness caught up with him.
But there's the twist! Police investigation later identified the rare Bentley -- owned by the rapper -- was being driven by Abrahim Mohammed Mustafa, well-known as "Arab," who co-wrote and features in S.B's "Yahhh!" music video.
Turi's attorney Larry Nagelberg, of the Nagelberg Bernard Law Group, states:
And while Mr. Turi’s injuries have not yet healed completely and he may face additional surgery, Mustafa was bound over for trial on criminal charges for “Hit and Run” and a trial date is shortly to be set in Los Angeles County Criminal Court.
The rapper and Mustafa are there for responsible for Turi's heffty Medical expenses, lawyer fees and with an unknown settlement amount as the suit was just filed.
FYI: This is not the first time Soulja Boy and his red Bentley has been involved in a car accident. Last year the "Tell 'Em" rapper was involved a car incident that came with a pricey lawsuit filed by Bobbiye Sullinger (the driver) and Herman Flowers (the passenger).
The suit, filed in L.A, was asking the rapper to pay for physical, financial and emotional damages stemming from a June, 20, 2012 car accident in L.A.
As TMZ first reported, at the time Soulja said he wasn't driving ... but later admitted he was. Each side claims the other was at fault.
Bobbie and Herman are suing him for medical expenses, loss of income and property damage.Turi's attorney Larry Nagelberg, of the Nagelberg Bernard Law Group, states:
“it is unfortunate that we live in a time where young, rich, celebrities are indulged to such excess that many think they are above the law”. Further, Mr. Nagelberg states: “society at large is now struggling with, as some put it, ‘The Bieber Effect’ and, it is crucial that society take a stand, as failure to do so will only lead to more egregious and dangerous behavior, and to more threats against persons and property.”Adding:
“I have been involved with motorcycles for over 30 years in both my personal, and professional, life. I have ridden for thousands of miles, both alone, and with my fellow bikers. Not only have I observed more and more of my friends being involved in accidents, but my law office, which has long handled motorcycle accidents, is seeing a real influx of these types of cases. An accident is supposed to be an infrequent occurrence, not endemic to the sport.”We spoke to Larry and he told us exclusively, "In the state of California the owner of the vehicle would be responsible for any damages sustained in a car accident even if the driver wasn't the one driver, but for all I know, Soulja was said to be in the passenger's seat."

But get this ... the duo is also suing for defamation, because AFTER the accident Soulja posted a video on YouTube (below), where he called Bobbiye a racist and a liar, claiming she accused of him of stealing his fancy ride.
Bobbiye claims the video is filled with lies and that it negatively impacted her career and severely damaged her reputation. Bobbiye and Herman are seeking unspecified damages. A judge has yet to rule.
