Drake Gets Sued By Former Stylist For RACKING UP A Shopping Bill & REFUSING To Pay!
August 28, 2013GWL Staff"YMCMB" rapper Drake is being sued by his former stylist, Michael Raphael for $76,000 for shopping expenses [Michael] initially paid for when he served as a styling consultant for the Grammy Award-winner artist.
Raphael claims the rapper faithfully reimbursed him from when he was hired back in August 2012 and only stopped in December, the month when he reportedly racked up the said amount ($76,490) on behalf of the Canadian rapper.
DallasBlack reports, "under Drake's employ, Raphael was paid a monthly consultant's fee of $39,583 that covered styling, clothing and graphic design for his OVO brand and other related services. It does not, however, cover shopping expenses that he incurred on Drake's behalf from such branded stores as Nike, Diesel, and American Rag."
Raphael's lawsuit even includes evidence of the supposed expenses, the $1,162 receipt from Nike, a $1,483 tab from Diesel and a $714 purchase at American Rag. The stylist claims the amount also includes plane tickets and hotel bills since Drake extensively travels for his numerous gigs.
Raphael's claims will be the latest in a list of lawsuits that Drake has faced thus far in his successful career, after those resulting from his altercation with Chris Brown in 2012, and the one filed by an ex-girlfriend for supposed use of her vocals on his song "Marvin's Room".
