In an intimate interview with Radio One's Cathy Hughes during the Women's Empowerment 2014 event, media mogul Tyler Perry revealed a heart wrenching family secret.
In the interview Perry explained how he always suspected that the man who raised him was not his father because he was so abusive toward him.
Perry said, "I love my mother to death, but she lied to me".
Perry revealed that after his mother died he had a DNA test with his brother and found out that they did not have the same father.
Then he took a DNA test with the man who raised him and the test confirmed that the abusive man was not his biological father.
After providing the women in the audience with some encouraging words, Perry told them that he's now trying to find out who his biological father is.
